At Colegio Panamericano we seek to nurture open-minded students with
the moral, intellectual, and social apparatuses to overcome any
challenge. We facilitate moral character development as students
empower themselves through participation in our various curricular
and co-curricular activities.
Our Townhall meetings simulate democracy without undermining the
hierarchical relationship of educators and students. Our Houses
activities, Tribes philosophies, and regular classroom meetings
about rules and student issues translate into social collaboration.
Student-led Three-Way Conferences among student, parent, and teacher
provide a context for self-reflection and self-accountability. At Colegio Panamericano students develop their interpretive, critical,
and evaluative skills; enhance their capacities for creative
expression; and enrich their moral calculus.
Since I began teaching in 1999 I have taught ten different secondary
courses, from history to kinesthetic video production to
intermediate Spanish for non-native speakers, including four
different Language Arts classes. Thanks to this, I understand the
commitment of educators to empower students from all backgrounds and
I understand how an education can enlighten young minds.
All the best,
