Elementary Principal

Mr. Zeb Johnson

My name is Zeb Johnson and I am the Elementary School principal at the Colegio Panamericano. I come from Canada, by way of schools in Bogotá and Medellín. I am a firm believer in “constructivism,” which means that I always like to arrive at the best solution by paying careful consideration to the ideas and strengths of others around me. I have two main elements that I focus on in my leadership of the Elementary school:

1) The use of research and investigation in identifying the best pedagogic solutions for an appropriate and well-defined curriculum.

2) Providing programs and opportunities for critical and creative thinking, as well as lessons in leadership for our future leaders.

I have a Colombian/Canadian family, as my wife Evelyn is from the city of Medellin and my son, Connor was born in April of 2007 in Santander. I have a Master´s of Interdisciplinary Studies from the State University of New York, and I am currently working on a Doctorate of Educational Leadership from Lehigh University. Those who seek the best possible formative and academic growth for the most important members of our school community, our students, can consider me a strong ally.
