Colegio Panamericano has the support of a Counseling Department made up of two, full-time Psychologists who provide professional support to the preschool, elementary and high school sections. The counselors offer support to students, parents and staff. They provide services based upon the needs and interest of each student, including specific themes such as sexual education, social skills, vocational training, conflict resolution, emotional development. They also offer workshops to the parents on a variety of topics.Monthly interdisciplinary meetings are held at school with the sole purpose of improving the learning process of children with special needs.

The counselors work full-time with students, parents and teachers. They provide assistance to students both individually and in groups.They are also responsible for classroom guidance sessions that focus on topics such as drug, alcohol and tobacco prevention, sexuality, peer pressure, and conflict solving. In high school, the vocational and professional orientation programs provides career training and information to guide the students with their proposed university studies. To complement the entire educational process, the counselors also manage many social service programs such as “Padrinos Panamericanos” where high school students volunteer their time assisting students from outside our institution.
